Data Availability Criteria
Some CLIMOD programs allow the user to specify the minimum amount of data that
must be available to generate a product. Daily data for a station can be missing for
a variety of reasons, ranging from the observer being sick to the rainfall
amount being insufficient to warrant a real-time report. Allowing the user to
specify this criteria provides a degree of flexibility. Specifying a large value,
such as 90%, will assure that the station has most of its data available and
thus any impacts due to missing values should be minimal. Specifying a small value,
such as 5%, will include nearly all stations (including "event recorders") that
recorded any data during that period.
